36dpOur children had a very exciting, engaging and amazing Mentorship day this Saturday 29/9/2018.

The speaker was the very gifted and talented professional actor and Film director Geoffrey Githae Njogu/Jumbo, popularly known by his stage name Teacher Karimi.

He shared exhaustively (and so animatedly his passion had our little ones captivated the whole time)about his journey as a school boy to the person he is today motivating the pupils to believe in themselves and the dreams and aspirations they have.

He covered topics on Excelling both academically and in life ,Language and Social skills, Relations, Discipline, Examinations, Drug and alcohol abuse and what makes an all round student as well as getting the best out of the holistic education that our school provides.

Teacher Karimi has been a professional actor for over ten years. Besides Tahidi High( a well loved Program on Kenya's Citizen TV) , he has had roles in several Mnet/Maisha magic movies. He was the Transport manager and assisted in location in the film "Nairobi Half life" and his latest role is in the film "Rafiki'. He has featured in a number of adverts and also does voice over commercials and professional Master of Ceremony.

His fluency in both English and Kiswahili doubled with his experience mentoring students in Primary, Secondary, University and school leavers under 35 years of age, easily won over our learners who had wonderful feedback to give at the end.

Also in attendance were a few invited students from Moto Primary school.

Our children then  had a lot of fun in the afternoon participating in Team building activities in the field chaperoned by Our teachers and our resident mentor as well as had a chance to interact and share on the day's mentorship theme!
