OpeningT2Y2020 9After a long precautionary break due to the Covid-19 pandemic, our students have finally started reporting in a phased manner, grade by grade. The government announced 12th October 2020 as the new date to start a partial re-opening of schools throughout the county. Two grades (8 & 4) have resumed for second term at first as we await further instructions about other grades.

Grade 8 and grade 4 are the two grades expected to sit for their national exams scheduled later in March 2021. The new curriculum which was introduced early this year requires students in grade 4 to sit for continuous national assessments in order to proceed to grade 5 as Upper Primary. The previous curriculum had just one national exam for grade 8 before they graduated to high school.

The new academic calendar will have our students in session until 23rd December 2020 (11 weeks) and take a break for Christmas holiday then resume for term three on 4th January 2020. They will then be in session for eleven weeks before they sit for their national examination in March.

The team on the ground; our ever-hard-working teachers and other staff who have been engaging our students on line are ready. They have put all measures in place to ensure that all health protocols as directed by the ministry of health are observed.
