We had such a wondrous Mentorship Day this Wednesday 20th September at the Academy!
Our Mentor and Speaker of the Day was an exceptionally gifted professional actor, film director & producer, motivational speaker, and mentor; Mr. Geoffrey Githae Njogu, popularly known by his stage name Mr. Karimi (Kenya's Citizen TV's Tahidi High Program)!
Our students had their minds, hearts, and all their focus on the speaker as he took them through very informative and engaging sessions.
Mr. Karimi started by having the students internalize and respond to the question " Why am I here (in school)?" followed by an exhaustive and comprehensive coverage of numerous relatable and relevant topics and issues directly affecting the students.
The topics covered were among others: The Value of Education, Relations (with parents/guardians, teachers/school, and friends), Attitude, Study Skills, Social Media Use, Drugs, Substances, Alcohol abuse, Sexuality, and Morals.
Taking advantage of Mr. Karimi's over 13 years in the film industry, our students who share his interest and passion in the field also had one-on-one sessions with him and we can't wait to have him back in future career guidance sessions.
St. Francis Moto Hope Academy takes great pride in nurturing, mentoring, and educating the whole child! We reach out, We Empower!
